Electrostatic discharge (esd) is very easy to damage high-brightness LED lights, which can be damaged during transportation and assembly, and it is difficult to recognize by eyes. Therefore, anti-static discharge measures must be taken, such as the installation personnel need to wear anti-static wrist.
Human electrostatic discharge (FSD) model and test methods
When objects rub against each other, collide with each other or generate electric field induction, it will cause the charge accumulation on the surface of objects, generating static electricity. When the external conditions are suitable, this accumulation of charge will also produce electrostatic discharge, so that the components of local damage or breakdown, even cause fire, explosion and other serious consequences. Especially with the extensive use of polymer materials, it is easier to produce electrostatic phenomenon, and the trend of miniaturization of electronic components, the harm of electrostatic increasingly serious.
At present, there are four models for electrostatic discharge in the world: Human body model (HBM), machine model (MM), device charging model (CDM) and electric field induction model (FIN). Due to the human body the most opportunity to contact with electronic components and equipment, thus caused the proportion of the human body electrostatic discharge is biggest, the human body electrostatic discharge model refers to the human body on the ground to walk, friction or affected by other factors and accumulated in the body static electricity and electrostatic voltage can be up to a few kv or even tens of thousands of volts, when human exposure to electronic components or equipment, the human body static electricity can discharge through contact objects. This discharge process is extremely short (several hundred nanoseconds), the discharge current generated is very large, it is easy to damage the components.
The human electrostatic discharge model is equivalent to the series circuit of 1.5k9 human resistance and 100pF human capacitance.
